With over 30 years of experience, NED has worked internationally with owners, architects, directors and producers to create one-of-a-kind, world-class entertainment facilities and lighting design on land and at sea. Just a few of its services include entertainment systems such as audio, video, projection, rigging, stage mechanics, special effects, control systems and broadcast systems.
NED draws on a depth of experience in a wide range of lighting and systems design from television spectaculars to the corporate theater/sales meetings. The company has been involved in theatre consulting for a wide range of entertainment facilities such as multimedia, fine arts performance, Las Vegas-type showrooms, cabarets, dance clubs and discos, as well as fountain lighting design, museum and architectural lighting for all types of public spaces. Carnival Dream
|
The naming ceremony of Carnival Cruise's largest ship to date, the Carnival Dream, was held on November 12, 2009. Weighing in at 130,000 ton, 1,004 feet in length and carrying 3,646-passengers, the Dream also designates a new class of ship with its sister ship, the Carnival Magic, launching in 2011. NED was responsible for the designs for all entertainment and broadcast systems including commissioning and inspection services marking their 32nd ship for Carnival Corporation.
Responsibilities for the NED team included design of the Carnival Seaside Theater's 12' X 20' LED screen and sound system, along with over 24 other venues around the ship including the 2,000 seat Encore Theater, the atrium, casino, lounges, bars, restaurants, and the three clubs which includes one each for kids, teens and adults.

Shows

NED provided lighting design services for the annual Toyota Dealer Announcement Show this year held in Las Vegas at the Sands Convention Center. They also provided lighting design services for the Chevrolet new product announcement show at the MGM Grand in Detroit.
This year they were asked to provide lighting design for the prestigious TedMed Conference held in late October at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, featuring over fifty renowned speakers in the who's who of medical and health care related concerns.
Again Jim Tetlow was the lighting designer for the Shoji Tabuchi Christmas Show in their 2,000 seat theater located in Branson, Missouri. This is Jim's eighteenth year and 36th different show with the Tabuchi's.

Audio/Video Installations at Marine & Naval Bases
|
NED is currently designing A/V systems for a number of facilities on military bases including:
- Four facilities for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton's Force Intelligence Operations Center.
- Multiple conference and training rooms within the Building 57 Renovation at Naval Base San Diego.
- The new Bachelor Enlisted Quarters at Marine Base, Twentynine Palms, California.
- The conference room and lobby for the Naval Air Weapons Station at China Lake RTDAT&E Facility.
- The Multi-Battalion Ops Center at Marine Corps Base at Twentynine Palms, California.
- The Human Resources Center at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

Next up for NED for 2010 is: - The lighting design for the GM Exhibit and Press Events at the Detroit Auto Show.
- Lighting for the Chevrolet Media Event.
- A Hewlett Packard seventeen-city world tour.
- Completion of their work for five new ships for Costa, Cunard, P&O, Seabourn and Holland America.
- The Choctaw Casino and Resort in Durant, OK opening on February 3rd with the team onsite in January doing final system commissioning and programming. All interior lighting and A/V systems have been designed by NED.
NED also wishes to welcome Andy Foley to the NED team. He will be an associate consultant and project manager. Most recently he was a project manager for Element Labs, a manufacturer of LED video displays.
